A Note for Our Cosmetic Dentistry Patients

If you are reading this, you may be seriously considering having some cosmetic dental work performed. Well, you have come to the right place. For many years now, our Grand Forks cosmetic dentist has been transforming the smiles of residents in and around the area, and we look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve the dazzling smile you have always dreamed about. We take pride in the fact that we provide all of our patients exceptional individualized attention and service.

Our highly trained dentist and support team have been trained to perform advanced cosmetic dental procedures using state-of-the-art equipment, and we know how important the decision to undergo cosmetic dental treatment is. As a new patient, you deserve the very best; we can assure you that after meeting us and visiting our office for your new patient exam, you will leave knowing that your dental health is in good hands.

What to Expect as a New Patient

Many people fear the dentist and we understand that. With so many advances in technique and equipment, procedures that were time consuming and painful in the past can now be done in just one or two visits and with no discomfort whatsoever. If you do have a dental phobia or even just some anxiety about having dental work done, we can discuss options to relax you during your appointments. Some of our patients were literally shaking the first time, and by now they are as relaxed and calm as anyone during their appointment!

You will meet with Dr. Jay Anderson at your first visit, at which time we will discuss what brings you to our office and what your goals concerning your dental health are. Some patients require a great deal of dental work to get where they want to be while others only require a very minor procedure such as teeth whitening or porcelain veneers. We handle all dental problems—no problem is too small and no problem is too big.

Comprehensive New Patient Exam

Your new patient appointment will include telling us all about your medical and dental history. The more we know about your history, the better able we are to meet your needs. A patient’s general medical health is very closely tied to his dental health, so please be sure to include as much about your medical history as possible. Even if you think something is unimportant, please let us know about it as that information may assist us in your treatment.

Our comprehensive exam will evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, jaw muscles, and joints. During the new patient exam, we will take X-rays, diagnostic photographs, and may create diagnostic models. We can design a customized treatment plan for you based specifically on your goals and objectives if we have current, accurate diagnostic tools.

Approximately two weeks after your new patient exam, we will call you in for a Review of Findings (ROF) appointment. At this appointment, we will go over all the information we gathered at our first meeting. Based upon the results of the exam and your goals, we will discuss your treatment plan and provide you, in written form, our findings and suggestions for treatment. You will see, in actual photographs, what we discovered, and we will explain how we can “fix” any problems we found. We will also explain all the costs involved with your treatment plan, and you can ask questions then about financing options and insurance billing.

Our office is a fee-for-service practice, so payment is due at the time services are provided unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We want to help our patients afford the dentistry they need. We have several creative ways in which we can help patient move forward with the care they want. Again, we are more than happy to answer any billing and financing questions during your consultation.

If you would like to meet with Dr. Anderson and discuss your dental concerns, please contact our Grand Forks cosmetic dental office today. We look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve all of your dental goals.

Financial Policy / Dental Insurance

As mentioned previously, our office is a fee-for-service practice and therefore payment is normally due at the time services are provided unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

We require your complete payment the day service is rendered. This can be accomplished through cash, credit card (Visa & Mastercard) and debit card. Should you require a service that involves an out-of-clinic lab, the dental fee is to be paid the day of impressions and the lab fee is to be paid the day of insertion. We have financing options available as well.

If you have insurance, we will submit to your insurance electronically at the time of service and your insurance will reimburse you directly.

We are happy to assist you in understanding your insurance benefits and we will assist you in processing your claims, predetermining your treatment, and third-party inquiries. We are here to help and brighten your smile!
